Uduaghan meets Tompolo, Ayiri, others today

Ahead of the March 13 groundbreaking of the $16 billion Delta Gas City project in Delta State, the governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, is meeting with stakeholders from  Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic groups at Government House, Asaba, today, to fine tune arrangements.

The meeting followed directives by President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that the areas of conflict between the nationalities were resolved, as he does not want anything that would cause bloodletting and threaten the project after the groundbreaking.
Ex militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, and Itsekiri leader, Chief Ayiri Emami, who are two principal personalities from both sides are among thoses invited to the meeting.
