Ondo State Deputy Governor sacked

Ondo State Deputy  Governor, Alhaji Ali Olanusi, was removed from office this Monday by the State House of Assembly.
The motion to impeach and relieve him of his position was supported by 22 out of the 26-member House.
This makes Olanusi the first deputy governor to leave office in this circumstance, but most people of the state appear to be pleased with the measure as some have described him as too self-centred.

The sacking of the number two citizen of the state was sequel to the report of the seven-man panel set up by the chief judge of the state, Justice Olaseinde Kumuyi, to investigate allegations of gross misconduct levelled against him.
