Soldier kill voter, 21, during scuffle in Jos


The gubernatorial elections cannot be termed peaceful like the presidentials. It has been series of bloodshed as reported from a number of states across Nigeria.  A 21-year-old man was shot dead by a soldier at the Ali Kazaure polling unit in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday.

It was gathered that the man, identified as Salim Nasir, who was supporting one of the political parties, was shot dead by the soldier after he engaged a supporter of another party in a scuffle ain the course of the scuffle, drew a knife against his opponent, but as a soldier tried to take the weapon from him, he was said to have struggled with him which led the soldier to fire at him.
