Lagos to deploy 400 buses in newly constructed Ikorodu road in June

Governor Babatunde Fashola released the information at a stakeholders’ forum on Wednesday. He said that 400 new buses approved for the new route would be deployed for operation in June and July this year and that the road must be cleared of all obstacles impeding the free flow of traffic in order to enable the people to enjoy the benefit of the BRT route.
Fashola, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Alhaji Fatai Olukoga, said, “This road has been built with tax payers’ money and it must be guided jealously by the users to preserve it.”
He described the road as the first of its kind in the state, with BRT lanes and bus stops at the median.
