Senator-elect Kashamu's Lagos home under seige by NDLEA operatives

Latest reports say embattled businessman and Peoples Democratic Party Senator-elect from Ogun State, Mr. Buruji Kashamu, may soon be in the net of the National drug Law Enforcement Agency over a report that he is wanted in the United States to face drug-related charges.
Punch reports that the Lekki, Lagos home of Kashamu, a Senator-elect, representing Ogun East, was surrounded on Saturday morning by operatives of the anti-narcotic agency.
Contrary to widespread report that Peoples Democratic Party Senator-Elect and prominent businessman, Buruji Kashamu, has been picked up by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the politician is still holed up in his Lekki, Lagos home as of 3.05pm on Saturday.
While the NDLEA has yet to make an official statement on the reason for laying a day-long siege to Kashamu home, the media aide to the Ogun East Senator-Elect, Austin Oniyokor, told Punch on the telephone that the operatives of the anti-narcotic agency were still outside Kashamu’s mansion in Lekki.
If certain information on the Internet is anything to believe, Kashamu may be on his way to the US on Friday, May 29, the day of the inauguration of President-Elect, Muhammadu Buhari, via Delta Airline, to face his controversial alleged drug-related charges.
