Policeman dismissed for ‘killing’ two women in Edo

A police corporal identified as Ali Christopher has been dismissed from active service for accidentally killing two nursing mothers at a funeral in Fugar town, administrative headquarters of Etsako Central local government area of Edo State.
Ali was dismissed after he was found culpable in an orderly room trial conducted by the state police command.
The Spokesman for the state police command, Stephen Onwochei, who disclosed this in a chat with journalists, said two police officers were arrested and at the end of investigations, one of them was found wanting.
“That person has been tried in orderly room. He is a corporal and as I speak to you, he has been dismissed.
“Hopefully by next week (this week) he will appear in court. Police officers should be guided by Force Order 237 which spells out the use of arms by officers.”
It would be recalled that two nursing mothers were killed at a funeral by a stray bullet in Ivhiokhile quarters in Fugar.
A two-month-old baby strapped to the back of one of the victim narrowly escaped being hit by bullet.

  1. Good one. I hope they will learn from this

  2. After dismissal i hope he will face the law? So so sad...

  3. The deed has already been done. Dismissing them will not bring back the dead. shameless officers
